Frequently Asked Questions
In case you were wondering
Are there cleaning fees or additional costs?
Yes, in addition to the mandatory cleaning fee, other additional costs may apply. This includes tourist tax (per person from 18 years), costs for any rental of linen packages and electricity costs in case of excessive consumption. Cleaning costs must be paid in cash upon arrival. You pay the tourist tax when booking and in the event of other additional costs, these will be deducted from the refund of the deposit.
Are pets allowed in this property?
Yes, pets are allowed at this property. We understand that pets are an important part of your family and you are welcome to bring them with you during your stay. The garden is flat and enclosed. However, please note that additional fees or restrictions may apply depending on the type of pet and accommodation. Please contact us for more information before booking.
Is this house safe for babies and children?
Yes, the house is safe for babies and children. It has a single-storey layout, so there is no danger of stairs. In addition, the garden is fenced, so children can play outside safely without running away. We've also provided complimentary cots and chairs so you don't have to incur any extra costs in keeping your little one comfortable and safe. The swimming pool will also be provided with the necessary security.
Can I charge my electric car at the gîte?
No, Casa Capel is not equipped with a charging station for electric vehicles for the time being. The available electrical power does not permit such an installation. Also using an extension cable for slow charging would lead to a disconnection of the electricity grid and the gîte would be without electricity. Electric vehicles can only be charged at the charging points nearby.
Where can I find the nearest shops and restaurants?
There is a bakery "Les douceurs du Quercy" in Miramont de Quercy, a 5-minute drive away, but closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. A 10-minute drive takes you to Lauzerte, where there is a supermarket, 2 bakeries, a butcher, a few restaurants and 2 cafes, ... everything you need. And of course you can go to a market somewhere every day of the week, and in July and August there are various evening markets (Marchés Gourmands), which usually start around 7 p.m., where you will find food stalls, drinks and music and dancing.
What does the region have to offer?
There are many sites nearby and plenty to do. In addition to the beautiful nature, where you can enjoy walking and cycling, there are also many picturesque villages, often located on the tops of hills, which offer a beautiful view of the region. There are several recreational lakes, some of which offer water sports facilities and (sailing) boat rental. Canoeing on the river, visiting caves, tree climbing parks, museums, etc., it is all possible!
